Alex Brown is a researcher for the Center for State and Local Government Excellence. Prior to joining the Center, he worked for ICMA as a project manager, focusing primarily on public safety consulting initiatives.
Alex also supports the research efforts of the National Association of State Retirement Administrators (NASRA), identifying, compiling, and updating information about state pension plans.
Alex earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from James Madison University in 2006 and his MPP from George Mason University’s School of Public Policy in 2012.
