Amber N. Snowden

Communications and Project Manager

Amber Snowden is the communications and project manager for the Center for State and Local Government Excellence. In this role, she coordinates projects for SLGE, including interactions with senior researchers, state and local government leaders, and others who share the Center’s goal to position state and local governments as employers of choice.

Ms. Snowden also serves as the public policy coordinator for ICMA and as staff liaison to both ICMA’s Strategic Planning Task Force and Governmental Affairs and Policy Committee.

Prior to joining SLGE and ICMA, Ms. Snowden was first an assistant to the county manager, and then a public information specialist for Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. She served on the host committee and as staff liaison to ICMA for the 100th Annual Conference. She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master’s in Public Administration (summa cum laude) from Ohio University.
