Public Plans Database – Access Trends and Online Tools
For those tracking public retirement plan performance, additional data is available now for 2021. The Public Plans Database contains information for 210 state and local defined benefit pension plans and over 100 defined contribution plans. New data released in quarter one continues to show the impact of strong investment performance in 2021. Site users have access to raw nationwide data, state-level summaries, or single plan snapshots, as well as downloadable graphs.
The database is the result of a partnership between the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, the National Association of State Retirement Administrators, MissionSquare Research Institute, and the Government Finance Officers Association, intended to inform policy discussion and research.
