Following the Public Workforce 2030 Summit hosted by SLGE, the National League of Cities, and ICMA-RC in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the key takeaways and discussion were compiled in this report.

This summit is one of a recurring, biennial series for SLGE, in this case exploring current and future issues in the public sector workforce and key lessons and strategies for state and local governments to adapt to those challenges.  The event included speakers from the host organizations, as well as AARP, NASRA, Lead for America, and the Novak Group, and representatives from the cities of Fort Lauderdale and Bal Harbour, Florida; city and county of Denver, Colorado; city of Houston, and Augusta/Richmond County, Georgia.  Attendees represented state and local governments from around the U.S. and Canada, sharing perspectives from administration, human resources, and other departments.
