Senior Management Analyst, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue
Marco De Medici is a Senior Management Analyst with the City of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue supporting the Chiefs with Business Intelligence and statistics. Before joining Fire Rescue, Mr. De Medici worked in the City Manager’s Office in Structural Innovation, supporting the strategic initiatives of the City of Fort Lauderdale for Police, Fire Rescue and the Department of Sustainable Development. His support of homelessness initiatives included the development of the Community Court with a grant to assist those who are homeless in Fort Lauderdale with community reintegration. Mr. De Medici has focused his efforts on launching platforms for data transparency and data-driven decision making, beginning his tenure with the City in Public Works.
Prior to joining the City, Mr. De Medici worked as an analyst and the Investment Research Manager for Franklin Templeton Investments for over 14 years, introducing new technology and financial models to support the portfolio management of institutional mutual funds. As an analyst, he created proprietary data models that today still function as benchmarks for portfolio stock selection in value funds.
Mr. De Medici earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami. He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
