Gregory J. Dyson was named Chief Operating Officer of ANA Enterprise, the overarching organization for the American Nurses Association, the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation, in January 2018. In this role, Mr. Dyson serves on the Executive Leadership Team, providing oversight for information technology, human resources/organizational development, the office of general counsel, and the Enterprise executive office.
Mr. Dyson was formerly senior vice president and chief operating officer of the ICMA Retirement Corporation (ICMA-RC), which provides plan administration and retirement services for state and municipal employees throughout the U.S. At ICMA-RC, Mr. Dyson provided strategic direction and oversight of marketing, product management and development, public relations and communication, and research. Before joining ICMA-RC in 2002, he held marketing management positions with Cushman & Wakefield and the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust. He is a speaker on financial planning and retirement topics, and has authored articles for local government and public sector pension publications.
Mr. Dyson has served as chair of the Prince George’s County, MD, Industrial Development Authority and Prince George’s County Minority Business Opportunities Commission and is currently a trustee of the University of Virginia’s Inclusion, Diversity and Access (IDEA) Fund. In 2015, he received the National Leadership Award from the National Forum for Black Public Administrators.
Mr. Dyson holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and government from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master’s in business administration from Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia.
