The Honorable William D. Euille

    William D. Euille served as mayor of Alexandria, VA from 2003-2015. Alexandria’s first African-American mayor, he also served on the city council from 1994 to 2003.

    He is also the founder/president, chief executive officer, and chairman of the board of Wm. D. Euille & Associates, Inc., a general contracting firm.

    He has served on the board of directors of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority; Northern Virginia Transportation Authority; Alexandria Pension Study Committee; and Local Emergency Planning Commission. He was chairman of the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission and president of the Virginia Transit Authority. He was also chairman of the Alexandria Youth Policy Commission and served on the Governor’s Council on Virginia’s Future.

    Mr. Euille is active in community affairs in Alexandria and Washington, DC, and founded the William D. Euille Foundation in 1994.

    A native of Alexandria, Mr. Euille earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.
